23 Nov Statement for announcing farm-in agreement between Shell and CNOOC Mexico

We congratulate our AMEXHI members, China Offshore Oil Corporation E&P Mexico (CNOOC Mexico) and Shell Exploración y Extracción de México (Shell Mexico) on the signing of a Farm-In Agreement to which Shell Mexico will farm into 30% working interest in Block L04-A4 of the Perdido region, subject to regulatory approval. CNOOC Mexico will retain 40% working interest and operatorship of the Block；PC Carigali Mexico Operations S.A. de C.V. (PETRONAS Mexico) will continue to hold a 30% working interest in the Block. This is further evidence of the AMEXHI members’ commitment to collaborate in the exploration of the frontier regions of Mexico’s deep water. Congratulations!
